The Special Interests, based in New York City write and produce songs about some of the important issues of our time. These are songs in the tradition of the many great activist and protest songs that have helped to shift public consciousness in the past. We believe they are needed more than ever today.

The Special Interests (Paul Vlachos and Roland Marconi) grew up listening to Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Marley, Woody Guthrie, and The Clash and have been writing and performing their own blues, rock, and pop songs for years. Their music always included social issue themes and now the focus is again on songs about justice, awareness and human rights.

60% of proceeds from all sales will be donated equally to the following organizations: March Against Monsanto, Organic Consumers Association and Institute for Responsible Technology. This is in gratitude for their great work in advocating for policy change, as well as informing the public about what the media and many corporations choose to conceal.
